TRADITIONAL GBI HOMES
Gbis trace their traditional homes to the homes their parents come from. Normally, these are the same homes their grandparents and great grandparents come from.

Gbis inherit patrilineally. This heriditory tradition determines one's place in key areas of the traditional order, including the qualification to be a traditional head.
In line with the Ghanaian culture, Gbis are automatic citizens of their parents' hometowns. This tradition also applies to offspring of Gbis, regardless of where they are born and even if they are citizens of foreign countries.
