Mama Awaliesi III

(Judith Valeria Tsekpo)

Mama Awaliesi III, a Sub-Divisional Queen of Gbi Traditional Area, and queen of Bla-Anyigbe, known in private life as Judith Valeria Tsekpo, was born on the 5th of December, 1987, to David Kofi Tsekpo and Victoria Lartey - both of blessed memory. From the Bansah Clan of Blanyigbe, she is the third born of three girls.

Awaliesi had her primary and junior high education at St. Francis Demonstration Basic School at Hohoe.

 

She then proceeded to Kpando Senior High School in the year 2002 and completed 2005 and obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate at the end of the course. 

After her senior high school education, she continued to St. Francis College of Education where she received training as a professional teacher. She obtained her degree in education from the University of Education, Winneba and currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration- Human Resource Management in University of Cape Coast.

She taught at Likpe- Agbozume R C Primary and currently teaching at Kpeve Oldtown D/A JHS. 

Awaliesi is recognized as a result-oriented and astute teacher after building an enviable career working with the Ghana Education Service for the past ten (10) years.  

Mama Awaliesi III is an avid lover of community service and a staunch believer in the Catholic faith. 

​

She’s currently the Secretary to the Hohoe Municipal Council of Queens Association and also a Pioneering member of the Gbi Bla Women's Group, founded in 2017.
