Esinam Agbley - The Scientist Behind Enam Cosmetics.

Esinam Agbley is a Cosmetic Scientist, Cosmetics Business Consultant and founder of Enam Cosmetics - a Ghanaian skin and hair care products company.

A product of St. Roses Senior High School, Ghana, Agbley's curiosity about the science behind skin and hair care products led her to pursue a Master of Science degree in Cosmetic Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey - USA, after her Bsc degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana.

The daughter of Gbis—from Abansi and Kpeme, in Ghana's Volta Region—has proven her capabilities in her chosen field beyond doubt - holding three international patents for inventions in the field of cosmetics science.

As a Cosmetic Scientist and formulator, Agbley has been privileged to combine her science background with her creativity and passion for healthy skin and hair to develop innovative beauty products. She has truly fallen in love with her career and worked for more than a decade in the personal care industry formulating skin care and hair care products for some Fortune 500 companies and multinational beauty brands in the US.

Agbley worked at Johnson & Johnson consumer products as a Formulations Scientist for skincare products, for brands like Neutrogena, Clean & Clear and Roc. She also worked at Palmer’s as a Formulations Chemist, where she was privileged to develop skin care, hair care and make-up products for their brands. At Colgate-Palmolive, as a Senior Research Scientist, she formulated skincare, suncare and haircare products for their Protex, Neutro Balance, Palmolive hair care and EltaMD brands.

After more than a decade of creating skincare and haircare products for these multinational brands, and a wealth of experience, she decided to create her own brand. Combining her background as a Cosmetic Chemist, her love for natural ingredients, and several years of research into the science of African skin and hair, Enam Cosmetics was born.

In addition to managing Enam Cosmetics, Agbley provides product formulation and beauty business consulting services to businesses globally and trains individuals and groups on cosmetics formulation.
