Remembering Akpene
Elizabeth Akpene Adjakwaku was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend, and professional hairdresser whose warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched countless lives.
Born in Hohoe to Nelson Yaw Adjakwaku of Gbi-Abansi and Grace Akosua-Kuma Atigla of Gbi-Kpeme, both of blessed memory, Akpene was raised within the Gbi community. She was known for her cheerful personality, resilience, strong belief in herself, and determination to pursue her passion in the beauty industry. Through years of dedication and hard work, she established herself in the craft she loved, devoting her time, talent, and energy to mastering it. In doing so, she earned the admiration of clients, colleagues, family, and friends through her skill, professionalism, and warm-hearted nature.
A devoted mother to Courage Melvin Dogbe, her only child and the love of her life, Akpene found great joy and purpose in motherhood. Her love, guidance, and unwavering commitment to her son were among the defining treasures of her life.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, Akpene faced life's challenges with remarkable courage and resilience. Her journey was a testament to her strength of character and determination to embrace life despite adversity. Her compassion, perseverance, and enduring faith remain an inspiration to all who knew her.
Akpene leaves behind her beloved son, Courage, her eleven siblings, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
Though her earthly journey ended too soon, her memory lives on in the hearts of her son, family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives she touched.
"Sleep soundly in the Lord, Akpene. You have fought the good fight.
